A confidential space to explore the thoughts, feelings and challenges in your life

About me

I am a BACP registered counsellor, with 18 years of experience in health, social care and caring professions. I am also a qualified social worker, founded my own mental health charity and have worked as the director of a mental health charity in East London. Previously, I also qualified as a massage therapist and worked in the financial advisory sector.

As a counsellor I have worked with, supported and helped clients overcome a variety of issues that are part and parcel of the human experience. This includes anxiety, depression, loss in its various forms, relationship difficulties and the range of challenges that come with life transitions to name a few.

Alongside the specific issues which clients bring to counselling, the combination of my work experiences, both counselling and non-counselling related, has meant that I have supported people going through distress and difficulties in a number of different contexts and settings beyond just the therapy room.

This, coupled with an integrative training in counselling, means that I can use a variety of approaches to tailor my sessions to suit a client's individual needs and circumstances. While there are certain commonalities between us all, we are ultimately unique when it comes to our life stories, and who we are as people, and it is this uniqueness that I value most and work with.

The counselling I offer is open-ended which covers both short-term and long-term work, and this recognizes that as each person is different, the duration of the therapy will vary from client to client.
